Oh my! What is that? 50 followers? Well WOOT WOOT! I have to do something. I have to show my gratitude to those who make my life worth living! I have to be unique and original in my celebration!
Or, on the other hand, I can do what most blog authors do, and give away a book! Yes a book! Because writers can never have enough books! But which book? That's a toughie. Thinking... Thinking... pacing... thinking... pacing... going to the fridge to grab a Diet Pepsi... thinking... pacing.... AH HA! The first book to ever make me pull an all-nighter to finish!
**story** I went to bed on night one, read one chapter of The Da Vinci Code. Went to sleep. The next night, I settle in to read one chapter. At 1:00am I move from my bed to my living room. At 7:00am I'm still going strong. Finally, at 8:00am I finish the book and crash for the day. Now THAT is a good book. ***story over***
So that is it then. The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown shall be my giveaway. Relief. No more pacing.
But wait! There must be some sort of way to decide who gets this coveted copy! Sigh... I've already worn out a path on my carpet from my previous bout of pacing. I don't think my flooring can handle any more. So here's the dealio, let's do things the old fashioned way. Reply to this post, I will put everyone's name who replies in a hat (My pink Pittsburg Penguins hat to be precise) and the name I pick out, a week from today, will get the book!
Thank you to all my loyal followers. I appreciate the commitment involved in following me, since most of the time I have no idea where I'm going.
Nina
Hi Nina! Pulled an all-nighter too, different book though.
ReplyDeleteI already have The Da Vinci Code (so I forfeit getting a copy :D), but haven't actually finished it yet (= shelf ornament, it was a birthday gift). Thanks to this post though, I'm going to tug the whole thing along with me to read it on holiday, thanks for the tip ;)!
Heya Stories! What book kept you up all night?
ReplyDeleteI have a copy already, so you don't have to enter me, but I just wanted to say congrats to 50 followers--it's an exciting milestone!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Stories and Christine but I couldn't not stop in and say congrats!
ReplyDeleteBlogger is being silly and I have been trying for five minutes to push you up and over 50 followers. I will come back and do it later BUT if you don't see my face up there in the next couple of days TWEET me and tell me to do it. Please :)
ReplyDeleteNo need Shelly, you were already number #41 :P
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine!
Can't even see if I'm on there as one of your followers, but don't enter me 'cause guess what I have on loan from the library. I plan to read it over the weekend. Gonna tweet the contest and congrats on your numbers.
ReplyDeleteNina: it was pride and prejudice. Don't tell anyone, lol :)
ReplyDeleteHmm... Can someone tell me how to show all my followers at once pretty please?
ReplyDeleteJL you are definitely there, and thank you!
Stories, umm... ok, it will be our little secret? :P
Thanks for commenting on the "Love Who You Are" post at my Say This Write blog.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea about your celebration give-away. Put my name on an extra big piece of entry paper so it's easy to grab out of your hat!!
Congrats on your followers! :D
ReplyDeleteCongrats on hitting 50 followers. That's great. Your posts are fun to read so I won't be surprised to see that number double in no time!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! What a great milestone. I can't think of a better way to celebrate than by giving away a book. (But don't worry about including me in the contest) Here's to a whole bunch more followers to follow. Grammatically incorrect, but you get the sentiment ;).
